When the weather allows the red grouper fishing continues to be good.
The fish are farther offshore than in their close to shore summertime haunts, but when we find them they are hungry eating dead baits as readily as live baits.
We still always carry some of each to make sure we cover all of our bases.
Some very nice gag grouper continue coming over the gunnels disappointing some clients that they still have to release them, as they are out of season. On some of the rougher days when the grouper bite shuts down we have been fishing more ledges for snapper and porgies.
Some better sized lane snapper have come on board, along with mangroves, and a good number of vermillion snapper on a few trips now.
